yacht delivery

Greetings. I hope you have navigated to this page in order to hire us to deliver your yacht. We sail because we love to sail, and we take care of the boats that we sail. There are loads of other people out there who do this for a living, so why choose us? Because we are good people and we treat others how we would like to be treated ourselves. I get my writing inspiration from the adventures I go on, so every trip is a potential story.

On the technical side of things, both my dad and I are licensed yacht captains - he certified with the USCG Master license, myself both USCG Master and RYA Yachtmaster Oceans certified. Mia and Mom have a few thousand miles under their belts as crew, and the four of us have sailed together quite often. I'm also trained in wilderness first aid and both Mia and I are divers. I worked as a yacht rigger for a year at Southbound Cruising Services in Annapolis and Mia and I completely redesigned and re-rigged Arcturus ourselves prior to sailing across the Atlantic. So we have some not-so-standard skill-sets to go with our love of the sea.

Deliveries are quoted on a mileage rate basis, generally 'all-in', meaning the quote includes transportation to and from the boat, food onboard and any additional expenses. Barring unforeseen delays, you'll know what you're in for at the outset. Each agreement is unique to the boat, owner and destination, and we work with you to get the best deal for everyone involved. We will deliver your yacht (power or sail) in better condition than it was when you left it with us. I encourage less-experienced owners to join the crew, and offer at-sea instruction at no extra charge. Check the photos and captions below for some of our previous trips (in no particular order - some are just pretty boats we've sailed on, but most are deliveries). Contact us at andy@fathersonsailing.com for more information. Thanks for visiting!
